Summary
Sherlock’s memories of John have returned, and so has John to Sherlock, but the two still have to deal with the aftermath of repairing John’s heart. There is also the loose end that is Mary Morstan that still needs to be tied up, but pulling on that string leads to a much bigger threat. And let’s not forget that annoying voice in Sherlock’s Mind Palace yammering on about keeping John safe. Hadn’t Sherlock gotten rid of that?

“And you weren’t going to tell me!”
“I thought I had it handled.”
“So if I hadn’t said anything, you would have just kept me in the dark, like before.”
Sherlock looks down and actually looks ashamed.
“Sherlock,” John says as he places a hand on Sherlock’s knee. Sherlock looks sharply up at him. “Do you understand why I need you to loop me into these things?”
Gingerly, Sherlock raises his own hand to cover John’s, interlacing their fingers. “Yes.”
“If you pull a stunt on me like you did two years ago, or go about forgetting me again, I don’t know if I’ll ever recover.”Series

Summary
Sherlock is back from the dead but he has no memory of John or their past intimate relationship. Mycroft had convinced the both of them that they should just go their separate ways, as John is now engaged to Mary, and both men had agreed initially. But despite this, both men can't help but continue to be drawn towards each other.

In his head, John knows it would be best to move on, as Mycroft said. He has Mary now, and Sherlock… John shakes his head. He’s cried enough over that idiotic man. And yet, as John glances over at Mary and at the engagement ring on the hand wrapped around her coffee cup, he feels like this is wrong. It all feels so wrong. Why is he sitting on some bench at some park when Sherlock is out there? Alive and breathing?

Summary
When a flirty cashier sparks a light of jealousy in John, Sherlock notices this leads to an exciting, dirty-talking John in the bedroom. Sherlock being Sherlock, he wants to experiment with this and makes plans to actively flirt with a suspect for a case, all to try and get a repeat of that night’s activities. As the two are in a relationship, Sherlock gets permission from John to seduce a suspect, although withholding the real reason he’s doing it, and John agrees, not wanting to stifle Sherlock in his work. John, however, quickly realises he’s made a mistake when he has to witness the flirtatious exchange.
