No one dared to pull Wangji away , he was in the middle of the corpses crowd , it was impossible to reach him without being attacked by the crazed creatures , their hands were tearing at his hair and clothes , dirty nails digging into his skin , he can barely lift his sword , and now he was pushing the corpses out of his way with his bare hands , his eyes locked on Wei Wuxian looming figure over the cave , his one track mind wanting nothing but to reach for him , to hold him, to shelter him .

Brother coming into his room .his eyes fragile and glassy ,He remember how brother hugged him .his small hands that seemed so big to wangji at that time were tight around him .Brother was holding into him for the first time ,wangji was the one to always cling into his brother sleeve seeking his guidance. Brother always knew what wangji needed him to know even when wangji himself seemed uncertain of it . But at that moment brother was clinging into wangji as if he too , did not know where to go and what to do.

Lan wangji braced himself for whats to come.rejection or disgust which was worse he did not know .but it was coming and he thought he was ready but he was not .wei wuxian was stunned he was looking at him with a blank face . his mouth slightly cracked .he looked dazed .lost and lan wangji thought that was it.whatever will come out of wei wuxian mouth can never be what he had been hoping for .he shouldn't have come here .he shouldn't have cried .he should have stored that nightmare and all of that grief with every other feeling he had for wei wuxian .keep these wanton thoughts away from the man.
Or lan wangji had a nightmare ,sunshot campaign end differently
