"Crowley, Snow, my family doesn't hate you!" Baz says, running a pale hand through his dark hair, and I can hear the exasperation in his voice. It makes me flinch, but then I take a deep breath, and tip my head back to that it's resting on the edge of the couch.
"Yes they do, Baz. Seriously. They still think I'm somehow going to start a war or some shit like that," I say, and close my eyes. Baz is adamant on inviting me for Christmas to his creepy Victorian gothic mansion, but I don't know what the hell he's thinking. He's gone mad if he's somehow convinced himself that his family won't burn me at the stake if they see me there.

It's happening again. I should've known it was going to; I was an idiot for thinking that I was never going to have to experience this again. The harsh panting, the raw feeling in my throat, the painful aftertaste of having to swallow down another wave of nausea. I thought that I would never have to suffer through overdosing on another round of hopeless dreaming, wishful thinking, mindless wondering. I thought I would never have to wake up, fingers clutching at my hair in frustration, tears threatening to spill heavily, eyes shut tightly. I thought I would never have to wake up to reality, again. Alone.
The word is stuck in my mind, on a loop, like a broken record. You're alone, Simon. Alone, alone, alone. You're alone. You always be.
I clutch at my sheets tightly, and my mind is dark. I should've known this was going to happen again.
I was stupid for being so blind. So fucking stupid.

Summary
Simon’s a student at Watford University. His main goal is to pass his classes, make it through school fairly unscathed, and to find a job after he graduates.
However, his world changes when he crashes into Baz, who he hates at first, but soon finds himself inexplicably drawn to him.
Unfortunately for him, the world moves in mysterious ways, and while Simon is falling (quickly), a strange man with a moustache has other plans.
With constant run-ins with Baz, a random man appearing everywhere, and strange dreams of past lives with Baz—Simon begins to wonder how coincidental all of this is.
But they have to be.
Because past lives are fake, magic isn’t real, and this strange man popping up everywhere can’t be for a reason.

Summary
I just finished "They Both Die at the End" by Adam Silvera and I HAD to put Simon and Baz into the universe where Death Cast exists. You won't need to have read They Both Die at the End to follow along. All you need to know is that in this universe you receive a call from an entity called Death Cast the morning you are going to die, letting you know that you will die that day.
So in this story, it's October 31, 2021 and Simon gets a call from Death Cast letting him know that he is dying that day.
SPOILER WARNING FOR ANY WAY THE WIND BLOWS (seriously don't scroll down if you don't want to be spoiled!)

I roll my eyes. "Okay, yeah, so? We're the bad guys. I know that."
"But, like. We're not the bad guys, necessarily. Draco isn't Voldemort—he's just a kid. So I was thinking. What if we're supposed to have some kind of redemption arc? And everybody knows Draco and Harry are totally meant for each other."
Niall, thankfully, comes to my rescue. "Baz is as likely to fall in love with Simon as Simon is to fall in love with him. And there's no way Simon Snow, who hates Baz more than anything in the whole world, could possibly be in love with Baz."
I nod in agreement. "Thank you, Niall. The day I fall for Simon bloody Snow is the day pigs fly."
