Summary
Lampert had accepted that Kasper was gone forever a long time ago, so when Dr. Retro found a way to treat the virus that took him away, he wanted to believe that everything would be able to be just how it was before he got sick, and that they could leave the infection in the past.
Unfortunately, treating the virus was the easy part, as Kasper now has to put himself back together after losing two years of his life to a parasitic infection that may never be truly gone, and Lampert is forced to accept that while Kasper may be back in his life, he's far from the person that he was when he lost him.

(Originally written in 2021)
When Travis catches Sal snooping through the church looking for evidence of a 'secret evil murder cult', an unlikely friendship (and maybe more) forms. Travis finds an escape from his harsh reality, and Sal finds something he never thought he would have- someone who loves him unconditionally.
But sometimes, dreams end faster than we want them to. Maybe though, one day, they can find each other again in reality.
