"Kacchan," Izuku giggled.
Katsuki stood tall, stepping out of the front door. He looked ridiculous trying to act tough when he looked just as adorable in his coat as Izuku.
"What's so funny?" he huffed.
Izuku toddled closer.
If he misstepped like he often did, their heads would bump together and Katsuki would get a faceful of his coconut curls. Izuku kept himself upright this time, and reached with his stubby hands up to the frog face plastered over the hood of Katsuki's green rain coat.
"Kacchan's a frog," he grinned, pinching the cut out eyes of the frog face.
Mitsuki saw it then, the glimmer that brightened Katsuki's whole face, just before he reached up and pinched Izuku's cheeks.
"Well, if I'm the frog," he exclaimed, pulling his round face apart.
"Wah—!!! —chan!!!" cried Izuku.
"Then you gotta be the ugly duckling! Bleh!"
Mitsuki sighed, wondering how they all got there, how Katsuki and Izuku had come to be and after all their years growing up, she, Inko, and Masaru were still together, now navigating parenthood of all things.

There's a beautiful statue of a boy in Yuuei University. No one knows how long it's been there or where it came from, but legend has it that one touch from the statue's soulmate can bring it back to life.
Katsuki stares down at the scarred hand holding his and shakily concludes that, yes, he's hallucinating and yes, he probably needs to lie down.
But his rationalizations are quickly dashed when he looks over his shoulder and finds his idiot friends sitting upright with their jaws on the ground, and identical looks of shock and disbelief on their dumb faces.
Katsuki's heart falls through his stomach.
No, no, nope, no, no fucking way, he thinks as he slowly turns around, hoping, no, praying to see pure, solid marble again.
