It's the question we all ask this time of year: What if the 1978 version of Stephen King's 'Carrie' was a cyberpunk retelling of The Nutcracker?

In the far future, in the dark, jagged city of Snoglobe where snow is always falling, the neon lights in various languages reflect off the silent white flakes and warp the holograms peddling festive Christmas excess.In the center of the city, there is a high school. Built in the shape of a Christmas tree. It even has a tram-train that goes around the base, and offshoot buildings are built to look like Dekkard Cain’s Christmas presents. On a plaque at the entrance of the building there is a prophecy which says that it has been foretold that one of the children, once thought powerless, will make a great sacrifice and that their gift will open a portal into a world of winter wonder and hope and childlike joy.
Five Golden Rings High is an exclusive school where the upper echelon of society send their kids to be trained to be the “dancers”-- chosen elites with superpowers called “gifts.” Some gifts are subtle. Some are not.
One will change the world.
