Summary
Rumi's tired enough of being much more than everyone in their minds, and still not enough to fill in what's been empty for years in that manor. Packed her things, payed her butlers, screwed the last audition, blocked every fake friend, and drove herself over to a new, maybe temporal but maybe not, not overwhelming life.
Or at least she expected it not to be.
Everything around Rumi was sucked into background noise as she walked down the street of what was going to be her house–maybe home–for the next chapter of her life. Her black, sleek car was parked a few steps behind, and her life–neatly arranged inside boxes–felt like a buzz with more protagonism in the scene than the rapid beat of her heart. Her whole life, everything that’d followed her through the waves and storms she’d navigated through; either forgotten in a house that felt too much, or tightly packed inside a box, a box that felt too little, a box that seemed to mock Rumi’s sentimentalism with its own casualty.

Summary
Zoey opened her eyes to a familiar face. Mira was in front of her, snoring softly, one arm draped loosely around her waist. She smiled, already sinking back into the warmth of sleep. But as she shifted slightly, she became very aware of another body pressed against her back.
She sat up quickly, freaking out. Rumi was there too. Panic prickled at the edge of her thoughts as fragments from the night before slammed into her. The taste of alcohol and bile rose up her throat. She kissed Rumi, Mira also kissed Rumi. And everything’s fine, she reasoned. They’re laying down together in their bed the next morning, and they all kissed, and it’s fine.
Zoey threw up in the bathroom.

Summary
Drinking wasn't all that common a thing for any of them. Zoey had bad memories, Rumi couldn't stand the taste without a lot of added flavor, and both her and Mira hated losing control like that. But sometimes they indulged.
Or Mira wakes up naked, blanketed by her girls and maybe, just maybe, she won't regret this.
