There was a redness hue to the Trailblazer's eyes. Caelus's fist was stilled mid-air, his mouth agape in slight surprise as if he didn't expect Dan Heng to open the door at all. Dan Heng had a fleeting thought that if he didn't meditate seconds ago, his eyeliner would be smudged already with brimming tears—a twin to Caelus's own.
Dan Heng is used to silence, of his own making or others. He's not used to one coming from Caelus.
