Elrond comes back from the battle of Dagorlad, hurt and lost. Celebrian is waiting for him, but they still haven't confessed their love to each other.

After retreating in fear of the reborn hero from the Undying Lands, an enraged Witch-King of Angmar sends a death curse to the Elda who embarrassed him in the battlefield. Although a curse of death falls weakly among immortal Elves, it did succeed in doing the next best thing: to erase him from the memory of one whom he holds most dear, as though he had never existed.

Summary
Glorfindel, Lord of the House of the Golden Flower, struggles to reconcile his love for his friends with his horror over their actions at Alqualondë. But when Erestor Fëanorian is trapped in Gondolin after its closing, he finds himself dangerously attracted to this most Fëanorian of men.
Erestor Fëanorian knows no other love than that for the House of Fëanor and his lord Maglor. But when he finds himself alone among the suspicious Gondolindrim, he strikes a strange friendship with a man unlike any he has met before.
But even as Turgon isolates Gondolin from the rest of Middle Earth, Glorfindel and Erestor cannot isolate themselves from their pasts.
