Kara doesn't know the difference between friends and romance, Lena is willing to help her figure it out to an extent but anything past that starts to confuse Lena as well. What starts off simple for everyone (including the author) becomes so complicated and unnecessary that multiple people have to get involved to save these two from themselves.
