“But Nero for god’s sake just tell me he’s okay?” Lady's voice was earnest on the end of the line.
Nero shook his head, let out a dry laugh and leaned forwards, elbows on knees, forehead pressed into the faintly glowing palm of his Devil Bringer. “Define okay?”
“Alive?”
Nero had known that Dante was unhinged since he first met the man in Fortuna. But after a desperate call from Lady regarding the hunter's safety Nero revises his opinion; Dante is breaking down and only a blow away from shattering.
Conflicted, Nero must keep his own emotions in check if he wants to help the demon hunter, but as he begins to battle Dante's demons he realises that the situation is far more complicated than it first appeared. Dante's closet is full of stubborn ghosts and something worse, something which threatens to drag Nero down in the same undertow.
