A joint maneuver that ends with a pacified world and a chance to rest before the next engagement gives him the opportunity he's been waiting for. And when his offer for a spar earns him a counter-offer for something a little more interesting, Cody takes it, giving himself at least decent odds of coming out on top. All he has to do is evade capture for an hour, after all, how hard can it be?
And if he can't, well. Whoever loses, Cody still wins.
