Summary
When Red and Chloe return to the present time, the changes are immediately noticeable. For one, the tyrannical Queen of Hearts is now a warm, bubbly ball of sweetness—an obvious carbon copy of the younger version of her they met in the past. Chloe got her mom back alive, which is all she could ever ask for. On top of that, apparently the two of them are childhood best friends due to their mothers' closeness. It's all seemingly perfect... practically a fairytale beginning in and of itself.
Of course, fairy tales are always more complicated than they seem. As the royal duo try to subtly settle into their new lives, it becomes increasingly clear that the consequences of their actions are far more grave than they realize. When their mothers are kidnapped by an old friend turned villain, it’s clear they can’t go about things alone this time… thankfully, they don’t have to.
As tension brews between the group, heavy history is unraveled alongside suppressed emotions… but if they can learn to lean on each other and learn to make the most of their circumstances, more may come of their journey than any of them could expect. Perhaps they may even cause some chaos along the way.
