Lance tried to convince himself it wasn’t jealousy… it was just friendly concern. He had to ensure that whoever Keith was with treated him well, not that Keith needed Lance to look after him, but still, Keith deserved the world and Lance wanted to make sure whoever he was with gave that to him.
Just buddy-buddy concerns.

He hides a smile in his hands.

“Sure, Lance,” Shiro says, grinning. “We’ll fight until I pass out. You ready?”

It’s on one such sunny afternoon that Sanji finds himself sitting at the base of a large tree, enjoying the warm temperatures while simultaneously shaded by its leafy branches. It’s peaceful out here, so much so that he can almost pretend he’s not a patient in a hospital who has no real plan for what he’s going to do next.
He flinches as that thought occurs to him, his shoulders already hunching protectively up around his ears. At the same time, completely without his permission, his hands start to bury themselves in his hair, tugging at the strands until they hurt.
