There’s a reason Stan doesn't drink anymore. It causes him to make stupid decisions. Fucked up, terrible decisions. But out of all the truly astonishing things he’s done under the influence of alcohol, accidentally marrying his best friend really takes the cake.
Kyle is yelling at him. Or maybe not at him in particular, but he’s screaming. Throwing things. Gesturing wildly. Stan can’t look away. He’s sporting a boner at the worst possible time.
“How could this have happened?” Kyle demands.

After Stan goes viral online for a song that paints Kyle as the reason their friendship nearly imploded, Kyle decides to to finish the job and ends the friendship completely. Stan doesn’t have time for him anyway with his overnight success leading to a record deal and consequently a tour where he’s opening for the biggest pop sensation in the last ten years.With Kenny’s wedding coming up, the two of them have to learn to put the past aside in order to be there for their mutual friend. It shouldn’t be too hard to get along for the summer. But when they end up settling their differences a little too well, Kyle and Stan find themselves attached in a way neither one of them could have ever imagined.

Stan comes out as bisexual and Kyle thinks that's great, spectacular even! But for some reason, he can’t stop thinking about it: Stan, guys, and the fact that he’s open to dating them.
The constant dreams Kyle starts having after this revelation don’t help either.

They drafted them like a ceasefire agreement, like two idiots trying to turn a war into a business deal:

Not Stan, not Kenny, especially not their parents. It goes to the grave.
This ends whenever one of them says so.
No questions, no whining, no drama.
It doesn’t change anything.
They still hate each other. School, work, arguments, insults—those stay exactly the same.
No talking about it.
What happens between them stays in the moment. No processing, no pillow talk, no “what are we?” crap
They didn’t write them down. They didn’t have to. The rules hung between them like a barrier they both pretended they could respect.
But deep down, they knew the truth:

Summary
Stan had tried to replace Kyle's presence in his life with other things, hoping some of it might give him some meaning, some purpose. Ultimately, all of it means nothing unless Kyle is there to tell him it does.
He knows better than anyone how to deal with Kyle. Knows how to push him just far enough that he has nowhere else to go, and then he’ll really let him have it.
Jesus, Stan hopes he lets him have it.
Stan and Kyle reunite at a friend's wedding and stop pretending.
