“I just… I wish I was,” John whispers, “Normal. I tried with Abi but that weren’t fair to her and it just… It just made me feel bad.”
Arthur frowns at him softly and lightens his touch, gently rubbing up and down the younger man’s spine.
“I just wanna forget about it,” John admits weakly and closes his eyes.
“Forget about what?”
“… I’m just gonna stay out here and be alone,” John’s brows furrow and he lifts his head to look up at Arthur, “Is that too suspicious?”
“I… No, I guess not.”
“I mean no one thinks you're gay,” John rubs at his eyes tiredly then stills, peeking over his hand at Arthur, “Sorry.”
