A grin blossomed over Yuuri’s face. A dark and wicked grin. “Oh, Viktor…. You didn’t…?” Delight pulled the words into a sultry accusation. Unwavering fingers stroked through his silver hair, brushing it out of his eyes. Viktor cursed the telling blush that Yuuri’s tone beckoned to his cheeks.
“Because of me?” Yuuri crooned softly, with a touch of wonder in his eyes that melted Viktor’s heart immediately.
It was that look of wonder, almost awe, that broke him in the end, because of how desperately Viktor wanted Yuuri to realize how enthralling he was when he was like this. He nodded once, pressing a kiss into the sweatpants he quietly hated. He let out his breath in a shaky sigh, “Oh, Yuuri, if you knew half of what you do to my self-control…”
Viktor realized that it was a trap springing shut rather than a sexy admission just a moment too late, when Yuuri’s fingers stroking through his hair tightened into a fist, pulling his head back slightly...

"Where did you even find a copy of my syllabus?" Yuuri frowns at him. But then holds up a hand when Viktor opens his mouth. "No. Actually, I don't want to know."
"I told you, I need to learn everything about you," Viktor says.
"And that involves memorizing my syllabus and reading my curriculum," Yuuri says slowly.
"Naturally."
At least this is better than the time Viktor had kept him awake with demands to know his favorite color and all the places he'd ever visited and a list of his favorite actors. Yuuri had had to draw the line at teaching Viktor how to write his name in kanji at one in the morning.

Victor blurted out the question not long after that, no longer able to keep it inside himself. “What do you want me to be to you?”
But Yuuri’s answer was not at all what he expected.
It was, however, the kind of answer he liked. It sparkled in his mind and puzzled him enough to keep him awake that night, pondering the irony while he was sitting alone in his bedroom with the smell of ocean salt and driftwood still clinging to his hair.
“I want you to be yourself,” Yuuri had said in reply.
And wasn’t that just the funniest thing?
This whole time, Victor had been trying to figure out which mask to wear to make Yuuri happy, when all he wanted was for Victor to take it off and show him the real person beneath.
