Nothing out of the ordinary. That is, until Cas and Sam decide to steal Dean's journal to read his deep, dark secrets while he's at the store. They didn't know he actually had anything to hide.

I’ve never tried loving a man before but for you I’ve run headfirst into wars and Death’s wide, gaping jaws, so this is easy in comparison. This is like breathing."
It was so dark when Bucky handed him the note, the fire just burning out, and he glanced back only once to see Steve watching him as he walked away.

Use your angel-mojo or whatever.”“You trust Gabriel alone with Sam?” Cas replies, and it’s not a rejection even though it feels a hell of a lot like one. Dean clenches his jaw and looks back down at his hands, clutching the jerky. He doesn’t want to think about it, that’s the point, and Cas should pick up on it – for everything Dean tries to hide from Cas and fails to, this is something he actually wants him to see.
“Forget it,” Dean hisses, shoving the jerky into his pocket and pushing past Cas to head for Sam’s room.

He doesn’t elaborate, but Arthur comes to place a pleasantly heated hand on his shoulder. Linus can’t help but lean into it.
“It’s just a book. But books can be very significant,” Arthur says [...] "Locke’s Two Treatises of Government, for instance.”
At that, Linus has to turn and give Arthur a frown. “You ridicule Bentham and then you talk about Locke.”
“I’d love to rehash this debate, my dear. Let’s start with Descartes.”
That particular morning debate lasts about four minutes before the two of them have to hurry to get down for breakfast on time.

Linus Baker comes to stay at Marsyas Island to be a part of the family he found, growing closer with his new loved ones. Arthur Parnassus starts to overcome his fear of exposing the children to the outside world with Linus's help. Zoe Chapelwhite considers her bonds, and who she'll let into her home.
The children continue to be themselves, and terrifyingly, even begin to grow up.
A story over time about a family--the joys they experience and the challenges they face.
