Summary
The Hadal Blacksite; Sebastian’s personal prison and hell for the last twelve years. Twelve whole years he had waited, been poked, prodded, examined, handled like nothing but an asset. He had grown sick and tired of it all. The moment he breached the facility came as a long overdue gasp of fresh air.
Sebastian would do anything to keep a hold of his newfound freedom, including joining the slaughtering of expendables after the crystal. He played the role of unlikely ally to them, wearing a smile, trading wares to help their survival and killing them once they turned their back. He wouldn’t squander his shot at freedom by letting them take it. They were just another obstacle to him, and he would cut them down, whether that be through tripwires or turrets or mines or his own claws.
But, it's hard to manage swarms of them, and Sebastian found himself face to face with the one lucky expendable that had slipped through his defences and stolen it. Staring them down, gritting his teeth, and readying his weapons, Sebastian prepared to fight for his chance to see the sun again. Only one of them would be making it out alive and they would have to pry that crystal from his cold, dead hands.
The scrapped ending, kinda.

Summary
Sebastian Solace has an airtight plan to get out of the Hadal Blacksite. Secure all the documentation of Urbanshade's shittiness in transportation crates, get p.AI.nter, and get to the dock in time for the rescue submarine to take them both home.
There's just one problem. Or twelve, depending on how many problems you'd consider a random kid running around the Blacksite to be.
OR: Sebastian Solace has morals, and they unfortunately decide to betray him. Chaos ensues.
(literally another crackfic that hit me over the head)
As of April 8th, 2026: I do not support the developers, but i will continue to write this fic for the same reasons as posted in Chapter 17 of this.
As of April 27th, 2026: Updates will be paused temporarily until the author has done further assessment on the situation going on. I'm sorry to everyone, but I don't want to rush to any hasty judgements at this point in time and would rather continue this fic when I feel like I'm better informed.
