Summary
Ghost was ready to rip the mutton chops clean off of Price's face and shove them down his throat. The 141 was tasked with dealing with a hostage situation and apparently needed the help of KorTac, of all people. Let's just say he was not having it. Especially when he learns about a certain 6'10 ball of anxiety that crashes into his world, quite literally.
Or, Ghost walks in on something he shouldn't have and now is left to deal with the fact that Konig is joining up with 141... permanently, and he seems to be the only one that has an issue with it.

Summary
When he had taken the job, he didn’t expect it to become as important to him as it did. He hardly needed it, what with the medical retirement he got from the military, but Roach had been desperate for something to do with his time. The work was a far cry from the stress and constant action of the military, particularly the latter half during his short time with SAS, but it had been just what Roach had needed.
Gary "Roach" Sanderson is at the point where he can really start moving on from the betrayal that swiftly ended his military career. Nowadays, instead of catching terrorists and doing training drills, he's making bouquets and reading anything he can about flower symbolism. Across the street, Simon "Ghost" Riley is a veteran who works alongside his former squad mates as a tattoo artist; a tattoo artist in need of flowers for an upcoming appointment.

Summary
“I know that— sir,” MacTavish tried, but Shepherd wasn’t having it—
“There’s nothing Ghost can do for you that another one of your soldiers can’t. I appreciate your concern, but Ghost has spent a lot longer working under me,” he told him firmly, at odds with the gentle way he placed the folder back on his desk and readjusted it out of his line of sight, “and I’ll make sure he’s utilised best.”
As if that was what he was concerned about— but he didn’t voice that, accepting the answer for what it was.
the international stage has finally settled to a point where mactavish feels confident enough to ask ghost out properly. ghost, on the other hand, is nowhere to be found, busy carrying out shepherd's orders

Bookmarker's Notes
“He’s just— I dunno. He’s just making sure I know I answer to him.”
“He’s— questioning your loyalty?”
“He’s checking if I know where I heel,” Ghost laughed, but it was quiet, more to himself than MacTavish. He frowned, opening his mouth to interject, but the next moment—
“They’re not all bad,” Ghost told him softly, eyes drifting down to his hands where he was adjusting his collar. “They’re loyal. And they’re always happy to see you, no matter what you’ve done.”
“That just makes ‘em sound stupid.”
“Maybe,” Ghost hummed, as he brushed off a little more fur. “They don’t care though. Even if you don’t like ‘em, or you’re too tired to do anything with them, or you don’t come see them for a while.”
“Always mouthing off,” he sighed affectionately instead, and then gave Ghost’s face a little playful shake; Ghost laughed softly, and then pretended to bat him away.
“It’s not transport’s fault either,” Ghost cut across him, hands squeezing around the cup— “it’s— it was an accident. It’ll turn up, I’ve got other clothes.”
“What— what, you mean this?” MacTavish asked incredulously, lifting the hoodie as Ghost scowled—
“It was an accident,” he insisted, the furrow in his eyebrows deepening—
“An accident?” MacTavish echoed, disbelieving— ...might have expected him to throw a sarcastic reply, or argue stubbornly, or snap something back, instead—
Instead, inordinately gentle, Ghost leaned towards him, tucking his head against his shoulder.
MacTavish stilled, and like it was an invitation, Ghost only squeezed himself a little closer, pulling the gaiter down and getting himself comfortable—
“Yeah,” Ghost mumbled, “just an accident.”
The patch of shiny, stretched scar tissue just above his heart that had something that looked suspiciously like the barest traces of tattoo ink still under there.
WE'RE JUST NOT GONNA ELABORATE ON THIS HUH
Embarrassment, hot and mortifying, spilled across Ghost’s face. He pulled back with nowhere to go, one hand hovering over the brand like he wasn’t sure if there was any point in covering it— his mouth opened and closed furiously, but when he looked up at MacTavish—
“Get out.”
“Simon.”
“Get out—” Ghost’s voice rose, echoing through the bathroom– embarrassment gave way to anger, but there was no hiding the humiliated look in Ghost's eyes, the one MacTavish would do anything to take back— “What the fuck is wrong with you? Get out— get away from me, get the fuck out—”
“I’ve got your death certificate in my hand, Riley,” Shepherd spoke before he could get a word in. MacTavish opened his mouth and closed it, but there was something drawn very tight in Shepherd’s voice, just waiting to snap— “and I’m struggling to find one reason why I shouldn’t make sure this record is accurate.”
Still standing in the middle of the room, MacTavish went still.
and the hesitation, and the way he wouldn’t look at him, but more than that, knew Ghost wouldn’t outright stop him. In a twisted kind of way, MacTavish was grateful for it, because he didn’t think he’d be able to steel himself to it if he did.
The hierarchy of where they were, what they were, worked on complete trust, but when he caught a particular sore spot as he pulled the tape off, Ghost choked on air, first making to shove the hand on his chest away, and then trying to push him away—
“Johnny— sir—” Ghost tried, voice rising desperately— “I don’t want— stop for a second, please— stop—”
“Ghost— Ghost, keep your voice down—”
“Fuck— Simon,” he had to let go to catch Ghost by the shoulders, cutting him off— “someone’s going to hear you—”
“I don’t care— I don’t care, I don’t want to do this, it hurts, I want to stop,” Ghost spilled out, looking up with wide, wet eyes.
“For fuck’s sake, Simon—” he didn’t mean for his voice to come out as cruel as it did, he didn’t mean to scare him, but his fingertips were blanching with how hard he was having to hold Ghost to keep him from moving, and cruelty was the only thing he was good for, and there was wet scarlet under his fingers—
“Lie still,” he begged, but it came out like a snarl, “or I’ll fucking hurt you worse.”
Ghost’s eyes went wide.
Twenty-five minutes later, MacTavish walked onto the airstrip, geared up and ready. The dormitory quarters were visible, but he wasn’t sure which window belonged to Ghost. He knew it was naïve, but as he spotted the helo, he hoped that perhaps Ghost would forgive him some day.
