Praise be! Klein Moretti, the eternally offending thorn in Ince Zangwill’s side, died most thankfully on the day that the True Creator almost broke free of his imprisonment. Outrageously, he was the only death suffered on the day of the failed descent, and no opportunity came of it for Saint Selena’s ashes to fall into Ince Zangwill’s hands.
Under increased pursuit of the combined force of the Nighthawks, the Machinery Hivemind, and the Mandated Punishers, Ince Zangwill recalculates his plans. He is, after all, a patient man. There is time enough. There is opportunity.

Summary
Soulmates were a common concept within this world, Klein learned.
Underneath the skin of his right collarbone, laid a soulmark, a name.
A name that would ground him, give him a reason to keep going—a reason to remember. You are human. A name that right now, Klein does not know the person behind. A name that for now, stays hidden, as Klein traces the messily charming letters- falling in love with the words imprinted on his chest, and later the man behind it too.
Klein doesn't know though, that his own name had just as many mysteries as his future—which was quite unfortunate for his soulmate, Leonard Mitchell.

This must be a romance story after all. Maybe a dark comedy if he was lucky.
