Summary
Soulmates were a common concept within this world, Klein learned.
Underneath the skin of his right collarbone, laid a soulmark, a name.
A name that would ground him, give him a reason to keep going—a reason to remember. You are human. A name that right now, Klein does not know the person behind. A name that for now, stays hidden, as Klein traces the messily charming letters- falling in love with the words imprinted on his chest, and later the man behind it too.

Summary
The thing is, Wilson doesn’t see himself as good enough to take care of another living thing.
He can take care of himself to a degree. He can cook, and fight a little bit, and run and hide and get things done to avoid the claws slowly making their way towards him in the dark of the night. He’s good at that.
But that’s not enough for someone to depend on him. He’s not a good enough protector, not a good enough caregiver. (Not a good enough father.)
Even so, he will have to learn how to be one.
(Or: Wilson survives on his own in the Constant for a few months, without having to worry for anyone else in particular. Enter Wendy.)

Summary
Maxwell, Wilson, along with the rest of the survivors are brought to this strange new tropical world, meeting friends, both new and old. Finding each other isn't exactly hard for the survivors, but navigating through the terror-filled Aporkalypse full of monsters and danger might just be, especially with the shadow monster with bone-white eyes stalking them...
Fighting off monsters isn't thier only concern, however, as Maxwell and Wilson must learn how to navigate through this new society, learning to connect with long-lost family, as well as each other with thier new olive branch of trust.
