Summary
Kyoujurou is startled by the melodic quality of the dragon’s voice. It is far different from the frightening tone of the disembodied voice that came down from the mountain three weeks ago.
“You have such a radiant spirit roaring inside you. I almost mistook you for a veteran warrior.”
“I have been training all my life. But I wouldn’t dare claim to be experienced.”
The dragon’s laugh is a light, airy sound. “It doesn’t matter whether you are experienced in war or not. Even among the thousands of warriors I have watched die in battle, none had a spirit that burns as brightly as yours.”
He continues, his voice dipping. “Yes. What matters is that your spirit is intriguing…” He pauses. Then, his scaly features suddenly contort to reveal a twisted grimace. “And that you are now mine.”
When the village's guardian dragon demands a sacrifice after decades of silence, Kyoujurou volunteers to follow the beast up to the mountain where it lives. But on the day he is to be whisked away from the only life he knew, he finds out that the dragon is far from the terrifying monster he thought it to be. And that, somehow, he is very, very attracted to it.

Summary
Akaza stares, slack-jawed in awe as the beautiful blond man from the table of nine smiles at him sheepishly while holding out his mug. “Sorry, but would you mind adding some extra milk to this?”
He’s so beautiful. Akaza feels faint. He’s going to pass out. He can’t even breathe.
Say something smart. Be smooth. Don’t stutter.
To his utter horror, what comes out instead is this:
“Sure!” He raises his free hand to reach for the man’s mug. “Just take your top off and I’ll milk you!”
Or, the one where Akaza meets his ideal type working as a barista and proceeds to fail miserably at asking for a date. The only question is: is there any way to comeback from such a humilation?

Summary
A knight’s oath is as sacred and permanent as their duty to protect their liege.
Kyoujurou is a knight from a prestigious noble family, and was bestowed the honour and responsibility of guarding the heir to the empire’s throne - Crown Prince Akaza.

Summary
Kyoujurou is used to being rejected by prospective mates.
He doesn’t expect much whenever an interested alpha or beta starts making advances on him - not because they won’t be able to satisfy him. No, never.
Instead, it is because he is far past his prime.
It is a seemingly endless road of hopelessness, and by the time he turns thirty-seven, Kyoujurou has all but cast aside the thought of finding a mate for himself.

Akaza didn’t have a specific type of mer in mind, or even a look, but for some reason, none of them had been to his liking.
Even as he swims in aimless circles in the small tank he’s in, he can’t help but sigh in the water and watch as bubbles blow out from his mouth and rise to the surface.
