Summary
Robby turns away from the room himself, stepping half back into the hall and the darkened corridor allows the rest of the logical argument against this decision to come flashing through his head: He is a student. You are his superior. He is half your age. You do not care enough about that. If his crush on you doesn’t undo you both, your attraction to him will. He tries to filter through the thoughts, fight them back with the only rational justification he has: He needs help and I can help him. The right thing to do is help him. I need to do the right thing just once tonight.

Vane returned the favour—“Charles Vane”—before realisation struck with the force of a storm surge. He turned to Flint, who was still staring at Hamilton, transfixed. “This is Thomas? I thought he was dead.”
Or, when Vane and a badly hurt Flint find themselves transported to London via magic, help comes from a most unlikely source.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is already so amazing!
The atmosphere is so vivid, wonderfully worded, and unsettling.
Silver’s inner thoughts are absolutely spot on for his character. And the way Flint’s presence and appearance are described so perfectly incapsulates what is attractive and frightening about him <3 -

Summary
Flash couldn't see his face, or even tell what color clothes he was wearing through the rain, but it was Peter. Peter fucking Parker. Everything came rushing back to him - it felt like getting hit by a truck. Like hitting the pavement at thirty miles an hour. Like a hard fist to the jaw. It was painful, and Flash wasn't ready for it. Look at me, he found himself thinking. He was relieved when he didn't. Flash felt sick just looking at him. It wasn't Parker's fault, but seeing him was like seeing her.

Really enjoyed reading this, I feel like the rhythm and wording of the internal dialogue really works for Flash. Always enjoy seeing someone dig into his character some more <3

Summary
In 2003, when Marcus Wright died for the first time, he expected it to stick. Fifteen years later when he finds himself unable to stay dead a second time around, he figures it might be easier to give the business of living a shot instead.
Unfortunately for him, life in the war-torn, post-Judgment Day world is anything but easy – especially straddling the line, as he is, between machine and human. But sometimes, Marcus finds, it's the less obvious lines, the invisible ones people draw between them, that are the hardest to navigate of all.

Oh, I’m in love with this one. I already adored Marcus… and the detail this adds to him, his sense of self, his memories, the way he carries himself. Is just so so so good. I’m so pleased that I get to read it ❤️❤️❤️
