Summary
Hypnos has his golden eyes riveted on the fishing lure, but he's staring right past it. The pole is lax in his hands.
Zagreus knows, from centuries spent around Hypnos to varying degrees, that the guy sometimes just gets like that. A little spacey, a little airy, a little impermanent and intangible like a- well, like a dream. Something wispy and immaterial, somehow physically present and yet not here at all.
The problem is, he's been doing it a lot more lately.

John and Dirk are spare wheels as far as their very coupled off friends are concerned. They get paired off as the only single ones in the group and get close. And then they get married, as a joke, as a fuck you to their friends who want them to settle down and as a way to solidify their beautiful bromance. It's the biggest game of gay chicken you've ever seen. It ends happily ever after.
