Summary
Sunny waits for Basil to wake up inside the hospital after all his friends have left, his heart full of unresolved feelings for the boy who held his hand during his darkest moment and promised him that everything is going to be okay.
Then he receives a call from his mom. She's taking Basil to live with her at their new home in the city.
Sunny isn't sure how to feel about his best friend coming to live with him, but maybe it's better than being alone again.

Summary

It has been nearly five years since Mari died. One year since Sunny confessed the truth. Now, after all the trials and tribulations, life almost passes for normal.
But life always finds a way to make things difficult. Basil confronts the prospect of becoming the captain of his own ship as soon as he turns eighteen - with a sometimes grumpy first mate. Sunny still needs to put himself back together after years of isolation. Most of all, though, the two partners in crime now look at each other as a little more than just 'best friends'.
