    Summary

No one wanted him there. And definitely not in their space.

When Ilya Rozanov transfers from Boston to Montreal right after the start of the new semester, his reputation follows him straight onto campus. The hockey team knows who he is. The frat definitely knows who he is. And no one’s interested in getting close.

So when his housing falls through at the last minute, it becomes a problem no one wants to deal with.

Shane gets stuck with it, and tries to ignore his feelings.

It kinda works. For a while.

Because it’s one thing to ignore someone across the rink or in a lecture hall. It’s another to live with them. To notice things you weren’t meant to.

This isn’t just a bad roommate situation anymore.

“And what do you think is your biggest weakness?”

    What the hell?

Shane opened and shut his mouth a few times. He’d prepared for a question like this. But coming from Rozanov, it sounded so… blunt. And a little mean. He wracked his brain for a moment, coming up empty until —

“Answering questions?” Rozanov offered. There was a glint in his eyes now.

Shane didn’t actively dislike many people. Ilya Rozanov was quickly making his way on to the short list.

    Summary

Shane’s preferences are simple: older, rougher, married men who lie to their wives and gone before morning.

Ilya Rozanov is nineteen, Russian, and already moving into his dorm.

Cue in covert hookups, stupidly questionable life choices, and a rookie who stares at Shane like he’s a particularly fascinating bug under a microscope.

Now he has to explain why he keeps getting texts from "Mr. Chicago" while trying to teach this kid how to use the campus laundry without melting his sweaters.

Campus life promised new experiences. It failed to mention the experience of being psychologically dissected over instant ramen by a stupidly handsome blond Russian who hasn't blinked in seven minutes.

“Need a bet to get laid, Rozanov? You’re really that desperate these days?”

    “Nostalgic, maybe.”

    “Wow. Big word.”

    “Shut up, Hollander.”

    Shane shuts up.

“When I win,” Rozanov continues. “I get you for…twenty-four hours.”
