San closes the door as silently as he can. The twins are finally asleep, and before midnight at that, a feat he didn’t think possible with the sugar levels they had just a couple hours ago. He tiptoes to his own bedroom, careful to avoid the one creaky floorboard, and once safely behind the door he let out a heavy exhale.
He loves the kids; he really does. They bring so much life and joy to his everyday life, but he’d be lying if he said it was easy.
