    You missed your home. Missed the soft play of the jazz music, the on and off sounds of Kats and Ei talking, the stove turned on while one of them cooked and you sat watching them, interrupting their conversation every time something interesting happened on TV. The sleepy late nights, the slow mornings (that weren’t so slow when you slept past the alarm), the ‘i love you’s in tenses people couldn’t understand. The comforting warmth they had in the winter and the AC blasting when summer came. You missed everything you had.
