Summary
The King and Queen are dead and Kakashi is forced to take the crown from the hands of a power-hungry council. As the king's guard, he must care for baby Naruto, which means he is now king regent on his behalf, a role he is not ready for. He vows to bring princess Tsunade to take his place, but the council wants him to get married instead.
In a bid to gain time he promises the council an alliance, he never says he is going to marry though. He makes plans to exploit a loophole and hopes it goes accordingly to his schemes.-
The Sarutobi are expecting a very important guest in their compound. An alliance has been promised and as tradition dictates, they provide a bride for the occasion. But the bride is seventeen years old Anko and Iruka is not very happy to see his little sister thrown into a forced marriage.
Especially once he meets his future brother-in-law.Taking her place was not what he expected when he told Kakashi to kindly fuck off.

At 20, he understood what it meant to be a teacher and he learned that no amount of re-reading could change how abysmally low the rate of survival for genin who didn’t retain everything they had been taught.
At 21, he met Naruto Uzumaki.
At 21… Iruka Umino finally understood why his parents could throw away everything so easily. He understood, because he was looking at Naruto clutching his stomach hungrily as bruises littered whatever his baggy clothes didn’t. Grabby hands beckoning for his help even in fitful sleep the way a baby would beg for it’s mother’s comfort, whimpers that quieted themselves like a child who no longer believed they’d be heard by anyone helpful.
