Summary
850. Trost District is lost to the Titans, but Wall Rose is not. The Armored Titan prepares itself to destroy the inner gate but then stops in its tracks, turning and disappearing into thin air.
With growing fears that the Titan race is developing human-like intelligence, it's the discovery of Survey Corps recruit Eren Jaeger's power to control them that kindles humanity's hope for victory.
(In which Eren does not awaken the ability to transform into a Titan after a near-death experience, but instead unlocks a power much more coveted and dangerous: the Coordinate.)

Summary
“Eren, why are you crying?” The girl--Mikasa--now has worry present in her voice. It’s better than the casualness it once held, but still feels off. It’s too soft and gentle.
He wipes his eyes. He’s not sure why he’s crying. He doesn’t feel sad or happy or scared or anything else. He’s at the point where there is so much to feel but it’s too overwhelming so instead he feels nothing but aching numbness.
He stands and his body feels like it’s something disconnected from him. It’s almost like he’s in Titan form, where he’s in control and present but the body still feels distinctly other.
“Let’s go.” He states, and lets his feet lead him to a home that’s nearly a decade dead.
[Time travel fic, but with less of a focus on 'fixing everything' and more of a focus on how Season 4 Eren would deal with going back in time after he's already accepted his death and how that would impact this new timeline. Despite this, many things still get fixed.]
