Summary
“Bleeding heart, eh? I see big things for you, Ignacio. But you have to detach a little. You’ll wear yourself out caring so much.” With that, Lalo slaps his shoulder and turns away, going back to work.
The point of contact seems to burn and Nacho thinks: You should’ve seen who I used to be. You would’ve liked that version of me. Before your family did this to me.

Summary
"No one likes Don Eladio," Lalo said, unbothered. He had his arm resting along the edge of the window, wind playing through the silvery streak in his hair. The early sunset light suited him well, gilding his features in gold. Nacho looked away. The tips of his ears were hot. Fuck. "It's about respect."

Summary
Usually, Lalo enjoyed being outside at night. Just a month ago, he had been under the stars, sharing a drink with his second-in-command. He clamped down on the memory and pushed it aside. No, he didn’t want to remember that. Didn’t want to remember how the one person he had given his trust to, had invited to his home, opened his gate and got away while armed men stormed his hacienda, killing the few people he cared about. He had work to do now that he was back in Albuquerque, and he couldn’t waste time dilly dallying.
Ignacio was dead. Lalo was moving on.
