You really write beautifully
I loved this bit:
"Several damning seconds later it kicked in that he’d whacked a colleague with the door and was stood there gaping at him. “Sorry! Sorry!” Harry yelped. Malfoy’s horribly lithe body had gone all hedgehog. Wasn’t there something he could check, or pat, or sling an ice pack toward? No, everything was either defended or indecent. He was just hovering his hands six inches above Malfoy as if attempting a spirit cure." -

Feb 29th is an Irish muggle tradition that he'll happily jump on. Archie (boyfriend) is in Ireland - he'll simply portkey over and pop the question.
One (LARGE) problem. The portkey office messed up and he's landed outside Harry Potter's pub.
