Summary
Hifumi doesn't come home from the club one night, and Doppo can't make sense of it. Meanwhile, Shinjuku's other vampires have gone quiet and Jakurai is suspicious.
Nothing can stay the same forever, and things are going to get worse before they get better.
One morning, Doppo wakes up to the sound of his phone’s alarm.
He hits the snooze and falls back asleep. Ten minutes later, he wakes up to the sound of his phone’s alarm again. To the sound of his alarm, not to Hifumi shaking him awake.
There’s no other sound in the apartment. No knocking on the door, no cheerful humming. No smell of freshly cooked breakfast, either.
No Hifumi.
