Summary
Castiel really wishes he had listened to Dean all those years ago outside that gas station.
“I could be your third wheel,” Castiel had said with such excitement. He was eager to have a new purpose, following the Winchesters and helping people. He still needed to help. It was the only thing that made him see clearly - helping. Who better to teach him than the brothers who spend their lives helping others?
“You know that’s not a good thing, right?” Dean had replied, his tone gruff. His annoyed posture had been in stark contrast to Castiel’s glowing face about the idea.
Sam chuckled at the terrible idea.
Castiel knows that… anything involving himself at that time was a bad idea. He wishes he knew then what he does now. Being the third wheel is a terrible thing.- Language:

Summary
“Dad, I can’t believe it!” Sam said as he grabbed John in a hug. John hugged him back but over Sam’s shoulder was watching with narrowed eyes as Dean faltered in his shock and wobbled but found himself caught by Cas who wrapped an arm around Dean’s waist from behind to steady him and give him comfort.
Sam pulled away and Dean stepped forward unsure what to do. Did he hug his dad? Play it cool?
Run for his life?
John comes back to life just as Dean and Cas admit their feelings and agree to try a relationship. Forces try to drive them apart as new and old enemies come after Dean. Will Dean finally be able to stand up to his father and stop the abuse? Will he and Cas be able to salvage their relationship with others trying to tear them apart?
Timeline for this is a sort of mashup between season 8 and season 9 (purgatory, Abaddon, MOC). The angels did not fall, the trials and Gadreel never happened but Crowley and Abaddon are still in competition for hell.
Tags and characters to be added. Like most of my stories, this is a dark fic with a very dark John and Dean suffers. Underage is for references to past abuse.

Summary
Months have passed since demon Dean had brutalized and tortured Sam and Castiel. In that time, the Winchesters had found a way to remove the Mark of Cain but not without a cost. Castiel was dead, Chuck was dying, and the Darkness was on the verge of not only undoing all of creation but ‘joining’ with Dean through some mumbo-jumbo bond she claimed to have with him. Now was as a good a time as any for a one-way ride to wide to oblivion Hail Mary play, and Dean Winchester was all too happy to carry the ball.

Summary
Jack's corpse is still smouldering in the graveyard dirt, still half-held in Castiel's arms when Chuck decides he's done with the Winchesters and Co. ruining his plotlines. As a punishment, he throws them into a Godless universe he'd long-since abandoned where Team Free Will encounter familiar faces they never thought they'd see again.
While the world appears the same at first, that impression is short-lived. Angels fight masked militias in the streets, Castiel falls ill with a fevered sickness that only Dean's touch can soothe, and the whole world operates under a biological class system that baffles its newest arrivals. When Castiel is kidnapped by alpha angels seeking to repopulate heaven, Dean and Sam must team up with the inhabitants of this new world to save their angel from a Heaven that's been closed and sealed for nearly eleven years.
