    “Er, I mean, I’m sure—”

    Hakoda laughed and slapped him on the back. “No rush, of course, you are both still very young. Plenty of time for weddings later.”

    Aang felt rather faint as he nodded. “Right of course…later…weddings.”

    AU Roku stopped Sozin's conquest long before the comet, sparing the airbenders and a war. Katara should have no complaint of her life, other than the monotony it brings, the only exciting incident happening when she was fourteen and befriended an airbender boy she actually had some fun with. And sure, maybe he made her a necklace asking if he could come back and marry her someday, but he was so sweet how could she tell him no? So she does the next logical thing and agrees if he masters the four elements. He wasn't supposed to actually do it and come back nearly as tall, handsome, and still able to make her laugh until her sides ache.
