He had his hands folded in his lap, looking oddly small. “I, uh, I was wondering if you would help me practice.”
“Practice what?”
Knox coughed loudly and turned away. “No, sorry, it’s dumb, forget it—” He was about to get up, but Charlie, in a sudden surge of confidence and curiosity, grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.
“Tell me!”
“I— well, I haven’t really dated much. So I thought… maybe you could help me and practice kissing with me.”Or: One night Knox makes an odd request and Charlie really needs to get a grip.
