Her eyes meet his. They're too fucking blue, dark and deep and surrounded by long, pretty lashes.
"Help writing?" She imagines late nights standing behind him as he writes by the glow of his laptop, bending down so their cheeks hover with only warm inches of air between them. Letting her chin rest on his shoulder for a second, her nails tapping the screen. Feeling his breath hitch as she presses herself to him. She shifts in her seat and tries to pull herself together.
He shakes his head. "No. Help with the sex."
She laughs. It startles out of her in a bubble. "You want me to help you find someone to shag?" she asks incredulously, raking her fingers through her tangled curls (she was too hungover this morning to brush them properly).
But Colin doesn't laugh, and his eyes don't leave hers. "No. I want to shag you." He grimaces. "I've never said that word before."

“Colin!” Penelope shouts, her face lighting up with a smile that had to be a million or two watts, rivaling the brightness of the sun.
“Pen,” he says, feeling some kind of weight drop from his shoulders, replaced by her when she jumps on him. Her arms wind around his neck and instinctively, he catches her, one hand on the back of her thigh and the other pressed against her lower back.
“Fuck, I missed you,” she breathes.
It’s exactly the homecoming he’d wished for. His heart takes off in his chest. She smells like vanilla and lavender, and her whole body is warm and wrapped around him, and he wonders if maybe they could stay like this for the rest of their lives, because God, he’s missed her, too.
With his face buried in her neck, Colin murmurs, “Yeah, me, too.” Neither of them really let go, and he doesn’t want to read into it that much because—he doesn’t even know. Because he’s scared, maybe. Probably. Because he doesn't understand it and doesn’t want to. Because for all his exploration of caves and canyons, he isn’t sure he’s ready for whatever he’d find the second he reads the text of their friendship and discovers something hidden between the lines.

Uma pérola entre milhares.
Há tempos que eu não lia algo - principalmente uma fanfic - que me emocionasse tanto. Terminei 31 capítulos e em praticamente todos eu quis chorar. Eu não sei explicar mas isso aqui ME mudou. Eu nunca senti tantas coisas como senti com essa história e nem consigo pensar em inglês porque só na minha própria língua eu consigo expressar o que sinto e ainda assim me faltam palavras.
Que coisa LINDA.
Sério, lembrar toda vez que é uma fanfic e ainda assim ver como se fosse um filme na minha mente é algo insano. As vezes a gente esquece como tem gente incrível pelo mundo fazendo coisas pequenas.
Essa história merece todo o reconhecimento e MAIS porque não cabe na minha mente que é só uma fanfic Polin. Puta que pariu.
Eu precisei comentar com a minha colega de trabalho sobre porque não conseguia aguentar segurar dentro do meu peito, só pra mim. Por mim virava livro, série, filme! Todo mundo devia conhecer essa história. Puta que pariu. -
