Summary
An old professor of yours always said insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. You'd been trying not to think about it for seven years. Still, you pulled out your hair in clumps and slept with furniture pressed against the door. In a last ditch attempt to not be useless, you threw yourself into your university work, and by dumb luck found a subject that interested you and a lab partner who didn't care you slept in the office four nights of the week.
A bachelors and a masters later, a letter comes in the post offering a research opportunity and a chance to shed your old skin. Looking to disappear, you accept, but what's done in the dark will always be brought into the light eventually.
Whether you're ready or not is a completely different question.

Summary
Six years ago, you did the impossible and helped to free a race from its subterranean tomb.
You found lifelong friends. You found family.
You found the powers of a god.
You found what you could become when given the opportunity to play with the fabric of time. You found a group of people in your way.
You found yourself helpless.…
You’re finding that godlike powers aren’t always necessary to get a happy ending.
(Self-indulgent, fluffy fic where everyone is a lil' damaged and terrible. But love blooms anyway).

Summary
“YES, WELL,” their expression seemed to scrunch up with... distaste? Disappointment? Nah, they didn't know you well enough to be disappointed. “'THAT LIFE' IS ILLEGAL, AS FAR AS I AM AWARE. I AM AFRAID THAT YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES HERE, HUMAN! EITHER–”
“Only two?” you asked, your tone disappointed. They nodded solemnly at you.
“ONLY TWO,” they said, “YOU CAN EITHER–”
“Why only two?” you interrupted again, managing to maintain your poker face despite your sudden urge to smile. Their brow seemed to furrow, interestingly enough, as if their features were more elastic than they looked.
“BECAUSE YOU HAVE MADE POOR LIFE CHOICES.”
