Based on my group's Council of Thieves campaign, but heavily modified due to...some choices that were made.

Summary
The night Occtis wakes up dead, he makes a pact with Sir Julian Davinos: If his family ever come calling and his autonomy is compromised, Julien will strike the final blow before Occtis can be used to harm anyone he loves. Before Julien can agree fully to the terms of duty, he must know exactly how to kill a dead thing in the first place. Featuring: Body horror, meditations on fate and souls, and the author's own extrapolations on the magic of Araman because nothing has been explained yet.
