The Archivist sighs again, and his objections are more like a petulant child’s complaints rather than being any actual form of protest. His boyfriend is right, is the problem. They’ve spent the last three years allowing themselves to breathe, to get an apartment and adopt a cat. They’ve had time to bury their trauma and focus on one another, and now it’s time to get to work.
Well. Bury might be the wrong word there, Jon thinks, remembering dirt in his lungs. But at least he and Martin have managed to ignore the lurking eldritch threats at the corner of their consciousness for a while.

Summary
