"You a lord's son?" Zoro asked. The blond turned to him, trying to tell if Zoro was joking or not. Finally he laughed, head thrown to the side like he was trying to muffle the sound. Zoro wasn't sure what was funny.
"What makes you think that I'm the son of a lord?" He asked.
"Your kimono is real silk. You have soft hands which tells me that you don't do any manual labor. And you're clean, probably showered within the last day or so." The blond smiled.
"I'm not a lord," he said. "Given where we are, what's your second guess?" Zoro nodded in understanding.
"You're a prostitute," Zoro said. He didn't phrase it like a question. The blond wrinkled his nose.
"I prefer the phrase 'entertainer''. Sounds more respectable." His amused tone said that he wasn't under the impression that there wasn't anything respectable about himself. Zoro just grunted.
"That makes sense."
"What does?" The blond asked. "The fact that I'm a whore?" Zoro nodded.
"You're handsome," he just said by way of explanation.

Summary
He needed to do something to catch Jason's attention. He hated it when any of the Bats got like this. He had an idea, but he knew it was risky.
"O?"
"Stephanie and Duke are almost there. Five minutes."
Five minutes. He could do that. He took a deep breath, held it, and as he released it, he released his control of his anger.
"God, you're just like your father." Tim spits at Jason's back. The Alpha freezes, then looks over his shoulder at the younger man, his hand tightening on his pistol.
"What the fuck did you just say to me?" He growls, meeting his Replacement's glare with one of his own.
"Tim, what the fuck are you doing?!" Barbara gasps in his ear.
Buying them time, he thinks.

Tim Drake has been obsessed with his predecessor for most of his life, and now that Jason is back in Gotham for good, he has a plan to bring the man back into their family. If he can survive the Courting period without Jason finding out the Delta was interested in him before the time was right.

...1) Courting A Delta: the prequel to "The Delta" focusing on the Courting Process between Tim and Jason (and the Bats going to therapy)
2) The Delta: Of the babies that survived to be born to Alpha/Alpha couples, over 80% died of SIDs in the first six months. Almost every one of the surviving pups presented as an Alpha or Alpha-Prime. Less than 1% is something else. A genetic defect. A changeling. A forever-pup. A Delta. Tim.
3) The Delta's Place: the aftermath of Tim's 2nd presentation and his first heat
4) Mating A Delta: Tim and Jason finally tie the knot (wink wink) and are now Mated. They spend Tim's second heat together with the intent to start a family
5) Presenting A Delta: Takes place immediately after "Mating A Delta". Damian has presented as a Delta, and Tim finally learns what it means to be the foundation of the Pack
6) The Delta's Litter: Tim and Jason are going to be dad's! 🎉 Now they just have to get through the pregnancy. Wait- what's that sound? Is there a pup crying somewhere?
