Summary
Whenever he gets a chance, Sylvain goes to Felix's bar to talk. And talk. And talk. Depending on the day and the number of drinks he's put away, he talks about the weather, about the latest issues with his job, about how he's terrified he's getting left behind as all his friends go on to do great things while he sits in his office and feels sorry for himself. On some level Sylvain realizes he should probably be venting to his therapist and not some random crush who now knows far more about his life than appropriate. But Felix is a good listener (probably a prerequisite for being a bartender to a clientele full of sorry saps like me, Sylvain thinks), and once Sylvain opens his mouth he finds it hard to stop.
At first, Felix just listens. But as they spend more time together, Felix starts talking back. He drops little tidbits about his past—an aside here, a joke there—that make Sylvain feel like he’s collecting pieces of a puzzle, following a trail of breadcrumbs to lead him to Felix’s heart.
And slowly but surely, Sylvain falls towards love and into love, one tumble at a time.

“Can I stay for the night?”
For an instant, Sylvain’s brain functions come to an abrupt stop, and all the longing and lust and love take over. Felix is seated on his bed like it’s his rightful throne, long legs crossed over the edge of the mattress, the cloth in his hand running over the blade of his dagger with nonchalant care. His short hair brushes the sharp angle of his shoulders as he stretches to sheathe the knife back into its scabbard, tossed carelessly on Sylvain’s desk. His blouse is half-opened over the dip of his throat, the pale skin of his chest dyed in warm candlelight, and Sylvain’s thoughts slip back into fantasy.
“Why?” Sylvain croaks out.
Felix raises an eyebrow in elegant dubiety. “Didn’t think you’d be playing coy, by now.”
Oh, Sylvain thinks, and he shoves himself back into practiced assurance as he shoves the door closed. No escaping it now.
A few weeks into their relationship, Sylvain realizes he wants Felix to wreck him.

Summary
For months now, every day Felix has religiously turned on the local news channel to catch the morning weather segment at 6:00 AM sharp. Listening to the forecast is strangely relaxing, and he’s found it to be a nice way to start the day and slowly wake up before he has to leave for work.
At least, that’s what Felix tells himself. In reality, he could get the weather from an app on his phone or just look out the window like a normal person. The real reason he never misses the forecast is because of the weatherman—a tall, freckled redhead with a smile bright as the sun and a voice pleasant and soothing as the spring breeze.
Or: Felix has the hots for the local weatherman. Things heat up from there.
