Summary
Maria Flores, a college student at the University of Texas, is on a road trip across the state of Texas with the aim of photographing the Lone Star State's wildflowers and other wonders of nature. Unfortunately, her car breaks down while traveling through one of the back roads in a remote area of central Texas, somewhere within Muerto County.
Her family is expecting a phone call and an update on her trip later in the evening. They will never hear her voice again.
An adaptation (with divergences where I felt it appropriate) of the short prologue game Petals, novelizing the events that lead to the disappearance of Maria Flores.

Summary
A single stray explosive is all it takes to radically alter the course of history. The twin cities of Piltover and Zaun have been in a civil war raging at a stalemate for 20-odd years, with the inventions of Powder Kiramman being an important factor in the City of Progress' ability to stay in the fight against Zaun's advances and innovations in chemtech. Powder's life is thrown for another loop when she's sent as part of a diplomatic obligation to hunt down something that's been lurking in the Demacian countryside, something the military has been unable to handle alone. What she finds is a mage living on her lonesome in the wild--and the essence of fear itself.
Simultaneously, there's someone lurking in the shadows of the war between the cities surgically assassinating high-value targets without a trace, and Caitlyn intends to find out who.

All Vi wanted was a day off.
Just one day where she could slip off her gauntlets, put up her feet, and relax. Maybe she would let Caitlyn take her out to one of those fancy Piltover spas that he had always talked about. If it would make Caitlyn happy, she’d allow herself to get pampered, albeit begrudgingly.
But today, like always, was not a relaxing day.===============================
Vi and Caitlyn venture into the alleyways of the newly independent Zaun, with the hopes of finding a serial killer whose gruesome murders of three criminals in the last week sent a shockwave through the region, reaching both Piltover and Zaun's criminal underground. Fearing that her sister could be the next target, Vi enlists Jinx's help in finding the culprit.
Sevika, a few months after taking over the criminal syndicate after Silco's murder, faces her biggest test yet. When one of her own is savagely turned to shreds, Sevika sets off to prove her strength to the rest of Zaun's criminal underworld as she begins to battle the realization that Silco may have trusted her less than she initially thought.
All the while, a beast prowls, haunted by memories that aren't his own.
