She drives through Night City’s neon hemorrhage, ghosts riding shotgun. Jackie’s laugh, Judy’s touch, the Aldecaldos’ dust, and Johnny, always Johnny, raw and raging and terrified in equal measure. The city that raised her now feels like a grave closing in. Tattoos itch like promises she can’t keep. Tears come hard and ugly in the front seat of a stolen Rayfield, fists bruising against leather and steering wheels.
But six months is still time.
Not enough to fix everything.
