Summary
“Hey, uh… back in that vault of yours, did you have a special someone?”
“No, why?”
He tilts his head like a dog. “What about on the road? That kid you were hauling around, you ever…?”
“Have sex?” she fills in when he trails off. “No, but even if we did, how is that relevant?”
He clenches his teeth and hisses to the sky. “Christ almighty, is there any chance you could be knocked up?”
…
“Oh shit.”

Summary
“Don’t worry, got a system. But it might take a bit longer than usual considering you cut off my best finger.”
He does not dignify that with a response. Just stares at the hairline cracks in the wall as his imagination runs wild. He hears her shifting up the mattress and planting her feet. Her knees lift the blanket from his own body in a tent. After the initial shuffling of metal and plastic, there’s nothing. The room is silent except for Dogmeat’s panting and the faint hum of recycled air moving through the overhead vents. If he didn’t know exactly what she was doing, he’d be none the wiser. But he does know, and he’s harder than a hanged man.

Summary
There was hardly a now, and there would certainly be no forever. Not with Vaggie, not with anyone. Charlie is boring. Her interests are trite, her talents marginal, her humor insufferable, she’s a mediocre lover at best, and she has the self-confidence of a broken Venetian blind. She’s not a wife. A wife is someone cool and badass. Someone irreplaceable in the life of another. Someone more than just you. Charlie could be married a hundred times over, but she will never be a wife.
“Al, can you do me a favor? But promise you won’t be a piece of shit about it? Will you come to the courthouse in Sloth with me? I need to submit some paperwork for a divorce petition. I could use the company.”

Summary
"I’m the only person in this city who doesn’t fear him. The only person who can give him what he wants -pain- without dreading the consequences. That’s the only thing that makes me special to this man.
The thought alone crushes me."
I absolutely hate writing summaries. I'll try, at some point.

Summary
“‘When you’re ten it’s imaginary friends and make-believe in the sandlot. When you’re twenty, they call you dangerous and wild and a genius, and it’s all very sexy and fun. But then you’re thirty—bam!’ Izaya tips his own head back, index finger a trigger beneath his chin. ‘They diagnose you with a mental illness and throw pills at you.’”
