When a confrontation with a powerful magic user goes awry, Damian is cursed, robbing him of his voice. Or, communicate without a fresh bruise appearing, that is.
What begins as an inconvenience quickly spirals into something far worse, as he finds himself struggling with the mounting realization: no one has noticed. As his silence deepens, so do the rifts with his family. He’s not helped by the many more sinister theories the people around him assume because of his new temperament.
One thing is certain: he really, really hates magic.

So, late one night after patrol, when his brothers tease his slight Arab accent, he thinks there's something wrong with him. Suddenly aware and growing insecure of his accent leads him to grow insecure of his skin, leading him to grow insecure of his weight, leading him down a spiral. He needs to be perfect. He will do everything in his power to be perfect, as to not bring shame onto his family name. He will be perfect, even if it destroys him.

Summary
4 of them , him and a cliff . A way like many others to one of his safe houses . He mentally checks himself, making sure his mask is in his possession as he takes a step back and looks down in time to see a few pecks of dirt dislodge from the edge of the cliff and fall , down, down, down into cold icey winter water.
They take a step forward, Red Hood twitches and his hands raise subconsciously. Almost as to put them out in peace offering or an attempt to stop Damian from jumping , which Hood can’t do.
“Kid.” Nightwing. Tries to coax him into smoothness, into relax . Damian knows better than to sway to soft spoken words , especially his name . His mother would do the same but the outcome would be treacherous several almost fatal wounds and days without getting fed. So no he does nothing but glare at Nightwing.- Language:
