There were moments where Shu's former nature lets itself be known, where his radiance felt so overwhelming that Mika let himself be blinded by it. He carried himself with the grace of a heavenly servant, each step seemingly blessed by the God above.
Other times it was more subtle, seen in the way he tried to curl wings that were no longer there, and whisper prayers to someone that had long stopped answering.
