Let's take the very general beats and themes of that pile of steaming BS and turn it into something that — gasp — doesn't completely undo the lessons and values of the existing narrative.
Written in bastardized screenplay format (ie. I made up the formatting on the spot because no one can tell me what to do), one chapter per episode, six episodes total.

Crowley stared at his whiskey, and refused to acknowledge that this moment would ever end, and didn’t think about just how close Aziraphale was, how he could almost feel the heat of him on the whole right side of his body, didn’t think about what it would be like to touch him again—Aziraphale shifted on his stool, and now his thigh was pressed up against Crowley’s. Crowley drew in a sharp breath, surprised, but Aziraphale kept looking straight ahead.

Imponere: latin, meaning to place, or to fix. The root word for imping.
Imping: the process of replacing missing feathers with that of a donor.Aziraphale finally is the one to come to Crowley's aid. When he sees the damage done to the demon's wings, he begins to help without a passing thought, much to Crowley's disbelief. The demon's terror at the thought of Aziraphale coming to harm from the selfless act nearly stops him from accepting his help, but as soon as he feels the angel's touch on his wings, there was no possibility of stopping him.
Their relationship morphs and blossoms into so much more.Time Period: Early 1800's, after the bookshop has been opened. Multi chapter.
