Summary
I saw the piece of fanart with the Dream Team as golden age pirates and wrote this entire thing because I'm literally a whore.
Captain Dream and his First Lieutenant Sapnap are pirate lovers in the 1600's, but they have to keep their relationship a secret. In other words, it would be really bad if the newly hired Quartermaster were to catch them in the act, especially given what a sly bastard he is.

"sapnap..." he murmured, his tone teetering over a whine though not getting as committed as sapnap's. he lifted his hand and placed it on top of his head, patting him gently to coax him off. "i'll sleep over another day."
"nooo..."
george lifted his head higher as sapnap persisted against him. "i'll bring snacks too."
"nooo..!"
he swallowed down a wince as sapnap pressed harder around his body before softening again. "i'll–"
"nooo!" sapnap cried, looking up at him and pouting. "i'll be alone! i'll be alone tonight, all by myself, with nobody to look after me!"
george deadpanned. "you're sixteen, sapnap, you can look after yourself."
sapnap shook his head and buried himself in the crook of george's neck again. "but i don't want tooo, i want you, georrrge..."
